You should always follow-up on your past interviews. See if the company has filled the position, and if they didn’t, show your interest in the company and the position again. If they did fill the position, ask how it’s going. You might be surprised by the answers you will receive.

As a professional recruiter, I have called companies back and they still haven’t filled their position or if they did, they weren’t happy with the person they filled it with. This happens all the time. Go through your old interview and the positions and companies you really liked, call them again!

Another thing you can do is, go through the old help wanted advertisements you answered. This is where you might have the best success. Some companies get tired of looking and stop running advertisements and stop interviewing for positions. When you follow-up with these companies ask if they ever filled their position. If they didn’t, tell them your qualifications and show your interest in their company. You will be surprised how many companies just stop looking or gave up on their search.

Always follow-up on your past interviews and old help wanted advertisements. It’s a great way to revitalize your job search. I hope this helps.

Good luck to you!
